Monitor manufacturers are slowly bringing fresh sets of QD-OLED gaming monitors to market, many of which with Samsung Display's latest Gen 4 panels. For example, the Asus ROG Strix XG27UCDMG and MSI MAG 272UP X24 have arrived this month alone sporting Samsung Display's latest 27-inch QD-OLED panel, which outputs at 4K and 240 Hz. Incidentally, both effectively serve as cheaper alternatives to the MPG 272URX (curr. $1,099.99 on Amazon) that MSI released earlier this year.
Now, Acer has got in on the act with the Predator X27U X1 and Predator X32 X2. Unfortunately, neither feature Gen 4 QD-OLED panels. Instead, it seems that Acer has settled for older Gen 3 panels based on the specifications listed below. In short, the Predator X27U X1 reaches 1440p with a 240 Hz refresh rate. By contrast, the Predator X32 X2 outputs at 4K but with the same refresh rate as its smaller sibling.
The Predator X27U X1 is already available in the USfor $499.99at a $100 discount from its $599.99 MSRP and in China for CNY 3,999. Meanwhile, the monitor will land in the UK later this month for £699 but not in Europe, the Middle East or Africa (EMEA) until June where it will retail for €699. In comparison, the Predator X32 X2 should launch this quarter in China for CNY 5,999 and the US for $999.99. According to Acer's press release, the Predator X32 X2 will be available in the EMEA and the UK from August for €699 and £699, respectively. Please see the comparison table below for more details.
